I lost 10 pounds in 5 days

It was not my intent to lose it that quickly. I just adjusted my diet a little and the weight just keeps coming off. I now make my salad dressings with only 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. (organic) and 1/2 teaspoon of anchovy paste, fresh ground white pepper and fresh herbs. It is delicious. Also, I now use a cast iron pan for cooking all of my proteins and use no oil at all. If the pan is hot enough the fish/meat will sear and if you leave it alone for 5 minutes on the first side, you can flip it easily. I just dress the protein with fresh lemon or lime juice and rind right before serving. I don’t miss the oil at all. My skin is not suffering from it because I am still eating a couple of avacado’s a week and I eat nuts and seeds. BUT, my fat is coming off and I could not be happier.

I also gave up all grains once again. Until the rest of the 40 pounds comes off I won’t have any pasta, rice or bread. It is TOUGH but I am determined. Now, if I could only give up dairy, I would be thin in no time.

Lots of love to you all.

  1. Hi!
Congratulations on the 10 lbs. – good for you!
Just wondering about the giving up of grains – even quinoa???

  2. yes, even quinoa. I am sad to say that the next thing to give up will be dairy!!! ;( I am not taking the weight off fast enough becuase I am stilll eating cheese. I am following the point system in WW but it is not effective enough for me at this point. I guess I am in too much of a hurry. And rightfully so, WW wants you to have a full range of healthy foods in your diet and would not object to dairy (non fat) or grains, but with my body type, it just does not work. xoxo

  3. You are an inspiration to me…..how about beans and lentils?

  4. Beans and lentils are very good for you. They take a long time to digest so your body will get a steady stream of energy from them. Just don’t have more than a cup of soup at one time. If you drink a large glass of water with lemon in it before your meal, you won’t be able to eat that much at one time. You are better off with smaller meals. Please keep in touch. I would love to help as much as I can. xoxoxo
