Studies have shown that regular intake of Vitamin C can reduce cold and flu symptoms by 85 percent and reduce the duration of your symptoms drastically. When sick, try to consume 500mg of vitamin C every few hours for maximum benefits.
  3. Take oregano pills daily
    • This simple herb you can find in your kitchen is actually a wonderful remedy for the cold and flu. Oreganos anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-inflammatory properties are useful for respiratory ailments. Oregano contains vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as fiber, folate, iron, magnesium, vitamin B6, calcium, potassium, and antioxidants which all support a healthy body.
