One of the most nourishing plants for our bodies and minds is aloe. Whether applied topically or consumed internally, aloe can have amazing effects on one’s health, wellness, and beauty. Aloe is a succulent plant found in tropical, warm climates worldwide and has been used medicinally since ancient Egyptian times.

Aloe juice and other beverages containing aloe have gained popularity in recent years. When ingested, aloe detoxifies the body, supports the immune system, lowers cholesterol, and aids in digestion and absorption of nutrients. Aloe juice can promote healing from the inside out, which can be reflected in the skin. When consumed regularly, foods like aloe will minimize dry skin and inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis.

When applied topically, aloe has even more nourishing properties. Aloe’s antimicrobial properties reduce acne and infection, and aloe is also shown to accelerate wound healing, lighten blemishes, prevent and minimize the appearance of wrinkles, and moisturize. Aloe contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants that leave skin feeling rejuvenated. In the winter, aloe can play a huge role in helping skin retain moisture, leaving skin feeling supple and smooth. In the summer, aloe’s anti-inflammatory and cooling properties make it a wonderful remedy for sunburned skin.

Many of Susan’s skincare products contain aloe juice, including the Hydrating Gel Mask, Body Silk, Eye and Wrinkle Cream, Revitalizing Sensitive Skin Moisturizer, Moisture Replenishing Day Cream, Power C Moisturizer, Algae Deep Cleanse, and more.
