Easy Home Remedy to Get Rid of Allergies

apple cider vinegar honey

What You’ll Need:

  • Local raw Honey
  • Organic raw Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Hot Water

How It Works:

Mix about 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with some local honey and hot water. Drinking this every morning can help alkalize the body. It raises the pH level of your blood and makes it easier to fight off germs and illnesses. It eliminates toxins in your liver and can really help any issues in your throat or inflammation.

Why It Works:

Apple cider vinegar contains pectin; vitamins B1, B2 and B6; folic acid; niacin; patothenic acid; and vitamin C, as well as small amounts of sodium, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorous and magnesium. Honey contains potassium, calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, vitamin C, nicotinic acid and panthothenic acid. The darker and less processed the honey, the more nutrient dense it is. All of these combined with hot water can help ease sore or itchy throat due to allergies. However, it helps many other ailments like joint pain, acid reflux, heartburn, digestion, constipation, inflammation and also lowers blood pressure, reduces cholesterol and helps weight loss. This really is some powerful stuff and it’s cheap and easy!

DIY Peeling Face Mask

There are so many peeling face masks in the market that its so hard to decide which ones are actually good. Unfortunately, a lot of those masks dont really work all that well and can have harsh chemicals and preservatives. Susan has an innate ability to identify the root of any skin concern and how to bring the body back into balance. Susan has a unique approach to holistic health and knows a ton of easy recipes for glowing skin.

Instead of using masks with lots of chemicals, the best thing for your skin is food! Start with cup of steamed pumpkin, cup of steamed prunes and cup of full fat plain yogurt (preferably with goats milk). Blend these together to create your mask and put it all over your face. Pumpkin and prunes are both great sources of vitamin A and are powerful antioxidants. This helps brighten the skin and lighten your complexion as well as calms inflammation. The reason fruit enzymes are the best thing to use is because the enzymes eat dead skin cells and leave behind plumper skin. It can dramatically reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne scars and wrinkles. It has the power to make the skin luminous and the results are immediate. Not only is this recipe healthy and actually works, you can do it at home and costs less than $10!

Which fruits are bad for your skin?

If you’re like me, a healthy snack consists of a bowl of fresh fruits. While most people consider all fruit to be healthy, what they dont know is that it can, at the same time, be damaging to your skin. Mangos, for example, are very high in sugar. This can often aggravate the liver and pancreas which is what causes skin irritants like rosacea and psoriasis.

One-half cup of diced mango weighing about 3 ounces has roughly 12.3 grams of total carbohydrates, which makes up 98% of a mangos total calories. Sugar accounts for more than 90 percent of the total carb count, totaling 11.3 grams. The most prominent type of sugar in mangos is sucrose which is the sugar often added to candies, cookies, cakes and other sweets. Half of the total sugar content comes from sucrose, 35% of the sugar content is fructose and the remaining 15% comes from glucose.

Some other fruits that are not good for your skin are stone fruits, like apricots, peaches and plums and other fruits with pits in them. A lot of people on low-carb diets tend to cut back on such fruits to avoid the high sugar. Although in fruit we are also getting more vitimins, minerals and nutrients, its better to eat fruits with less sugar rather than the really sweet stuff if you are trying to achieve clearer skin. Surprisingly, bananas are pretty high in sugar so one banana a day is more than enough and it is suggested to eat the banana with protein or healthy fat in order to slow down the absorption of the sugar.

Fruits that are the highest in sugar are figs, pomegranate seeds, mangos, tangerines, bananas, sweet cherries, plums, apricots and almost any fruit that has a pit in it. These fruits can be the cause of inflammation in your liver and pancreas and lead to more break out in your skin. Cutting out these high sugar fruits will positively affect your complexion and can prevent and reduce symptoms of rosacea and psoriasis and other skin irritants. Pair this with using Susan Ciminelli’s products and you are sure to be left with clear, soft, glowing skin.

The Power of Essential Oils

Essential oils are all natural and are the driving life force for all plants. They have been used all around the world for thousands of years for beauty treatment as well as medical and healing purposes. Much like acupuncture, essential oils stimulate energy flow and circulation as well as eliminate bacteria and fungus that cause skin problems such as blemishes. They are good for moisturizing, soothing, toning and preserving the skin. They are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial containing key ingredients like vitamin E, apricot kernel oil and other natural ingredients like lavender, basil, thyme, lemongrass, etc. These oils are also the source of our fragrance for each product. Susan’s product line has four different formulas for different skin types; however, all of our unique products have essential oils in them which plump the skin and give you a healthy glow.

  • Our Hydrating Formula is best for people with dry skin. It helps diminish fine lines around the eye and lip area and plumps the skin leaving you with soft and radiant skin. Not to mention, this product is a longtime favorite of Martha Stewart and Jennifer Lopez.
  • Our Sensitive Skin Formula is best suited for sensitive, dry and ruddy complexions. This formula was created after Susan went to Egypt a few times. It incorporates the same oils that were used by the Ancient Egyptians to protect their skin in a harsh environment. This formula nurtures sensitive skin by calming redness and repairing broken capillaries while also energizing your skin and increasing its metabolism.
  • The Toning Formula is best used for combination skin and it will tighten your pores, minimize bacteria, reduce blackheads, and balance your skin tone.
  • Our last formula is the Oil Control Formula which is for oily or acne-prone skin. A lot of people have been disappointed by harsh medical treatments that attack the skin; Susans oil control formula will make blackheads and blemishes disappear. The natural antiseptics in this spot treatment eliminate bacteria on the skins surface and deep within glands and it quickly minimizes excess oil.

Essential oils can help remedy a number of skin conditions such as acne, aging, dryness and oiliness. They can help you attain and maintain a clear and flawless complexion and when combined with the right products, you will see absolutely amazing results!

How Susan Ciminelli Transformed my Skin

Hello Ladies! I’m here to talk to you about how Susan Ciminelli’s products changed my skin dramatically within 2 weeks of use. I’m 22 years old and have never had BAD skin, however I did have many issues. I have a naturally pinkish/red pigment to my skin that never seems to go away. And to add insult to injury, I used to do so much damage to my skin by using makeup remover wipes. If you don’t already know, those kinds of wipes contain added preservatives to increase shelf life so you’re probably exposing your skin to extra formaldehyde-releasing chemicals. It also doesn’t ACTUALLY clean your skin but rather just smears dirt, bacteria, oil and makeup across your face. It’s no wonder my face was left red and irritated. If you have sensitive skin like me, this is probably one of the worst things you can do. On top of that, I also used drug store brand moisturizer that I would cake onto my face after “washing” my face with soap based face wash. All of these classic mistakes contributed to the condition my skin was in. A big pimple here and there was not uncommon for me but I would just put on more and more makeup to cover it up which in turn would make my skin worse and it was just a vicious cycle.

Now, let me tell you about my skin AFTER using Susan Ciminelli products. The difference is seriously amazing. I’m not super familiar with high end skin care products, or any kind of skin care products for that matter, but Susan walked me through some of her products, explaining each one in detail, step by step. It’s amazing (and slightly embarrassing) how uninformed I was before this. The first step is removing my makeup, which as you know I took the lazy route and grabbed a wipe. I swear Susan almost had a heart attack when I said this. I now use Susan’s Cleansing Milk which is so gentle on my skin and all you need is a little dab to rub around your face. Then you wipe it off with a damp washcloth and you can immediately feel your makeup and grime disappear. It even removes my black eyeliner and mascara; so amazing! After that I use the pore minimizing cleanser and it is seriously life changing. I used to wash my face and afterwards would still feel like there’s a leftover film of dirt on my face that I just could not seem to get rid of. This cleanser is so powerful yet gentle at the same time. It exfoliates and tones your skin and has antiseptic properties to prevent acne breakouts. A lot of cleansers out there are usually very harsh on your skin, which for people like me that are extra sensitive, can leave the skin irritated.

One of my favorite products is the essential oils. I use the hydrating formula that you put on after cleansing. You can feel the moisture setting into your skin as soon as you put this on your face. And even better, spraying the Seawater right after further penetrates the skin resulting in even more hydration. Lastly I put on the restorative red marine algae cream at night. This is the best for dry skin but is usually for more mature skin so I would recommend the power C moisturizer for someone younger. The red marine algae creme is perfect for softening fine lines and wrinkles and makes your skin feel firmer. All of these products used together have completely transformed the complexion and tone and even reduced the redness of my skin. I find myself wearing less makeup and haven’t had a single pimple or blemish since I’ve started using them. I’m so excited that I discovered this right before the summer season so my skin is smooth and glowy and I can’t wait to try more of Susan’s products!
