General Tips
- Avoid all foods with chemicals, preservatives, corn syrup, hidden sugars and hydrogenated oils. Consuming these can lead to different types of cancer and other degenerative diseases. - Do not drink soda. It leeches the calcium out of the bones which leads to osteoporosis, and makes the skin very dry and brittle. - Never eat after 8:00 p.m. and especially not late at night. It is too late for your system. Your digestive system slows down after 8:00. Anything that you eat after that will not be digested and then it will turn into toxic waste. This waste weakens your immune system and can cause recurring breakouts as well. - Eat slowly for proper digestion. Chewing your food properly helps ensure better digestion. Remember to chew your food as many times as you can, at least 25 to 30 to aid digestion. ( 50 times per mouthful is better) - Don’t drink too much liquid while eating your meals. - A great rule for eating: 1/3 food, 1/3 liquid, 1/3 air. Think of your stomach as a bowl containing salad. If you put too much salad in the bowl you cannot properly toss it so that every piece of lettuce has dressing on it. Your stomach needs to contract while you are eating. This contraction takes place to ensure that the digestive enzymes are coating the food in the stomach. If the stomach is too full, the food is not properly digested. The food then becomes stagnant and will clog the colon. This ultimately will pollute the lymphatic system and the blood. - Another rule for eating: Try to eat foods that grow in your region naturally. Also make sure that you are eating above ground grown vegetables and below ground grown vegetables. - To help flush your system, drink at least 2 1/5 liters of water every day. The first glass of water that you drink in the morning should have lemon in it. This helps cleanse your inner palate. - Buy a tongue cleaner and use it 3 times a day. Powerful bacteria in the mouth can impair your immune system and then cause serious skin care problems - If you are over 40 years old, it is wise to take a natural digestive enzyme to aid digestion because our own enzymes get weaker as we age. - For Women's Hair Loss: Horsetail herb, saw pimento, and silica have been known to help. Look for a doctor with the knowledge of holistic medicine to assist you in this. - If you are in the New York City area, please come to the spa and have a Crystal Healing & Guided Meditation with Susan Ciminelli to balance your chakras thereby assisting all of your health and beauty needs. When your chakras are balanced, your body has an easier time staying healthy and beautiful. Immune Booster Foods to consume regularly: Brown rice, shitake mushrooms (once a week), umeboshi plums, miso soup, fish, adzuki beans, ginger, tofu, garlic, leeks, fresh herbs, green tea, seaweed salad, cooked hijiki seaweed. Adding these foods to your diet will keep your internal environment clean which will help boost your immune system. Keep on hand, vitamin C, EmergenC packets, golden seal and echanacea, and a collection of homeopathic remedies for sore throat and the flu. They really help boost the immune system. Always take as directed. Seek out a Doctor that has an understanding of natural remedies that help restore balance quickly to the body. If you take antibiotics too often you will develop an intolerance to them. The above remedies help the immune system so that you do not always need the antibiotic. |
